The ERRH family bid farewell to Mr. Dorji Wangchuk in a simple yet heartfelt ceremony yesterday, marking the end of his career as a Senior Dental Technician. Mr. Dorji’s journey in the healthcare sector began in 1982 when he served as a Para Medical Worker under the Leprosy Control Program until 1991. He then upgraded his skills to become a Dental Technician at the Royal Institute of Health Sciences.
Throughout his career, he worked at several key healthcare institutions, including CRRH in Gelephu, Pema Gatshel Hospital, and ERRH, Mongar.
In recognition for his unwavering commitment and long-standing service, Mr. Dorji was honored with the 30 Years Civil Service Gold Award in 2013 and the Lifetime Civil Service Award in 2022.
During the ceremony, the ERRH family, led by the Medical Superintendent, administrative staff, Heads of Departments, and In-Charges, expressed their deep gratitude with a Tashi Khadhar and heartfelt prayers for his post-retirement years. The staff and colleagues extended their sincere thanks for his dedication, which spanned more than 42 years of service to the nation’s health sector.
Mr. Dorji’s legacy of hard work and professionalism will be remembered and cherished by all those who had the privilege of working with him.
