The hospital’s VCT focal and team conducted a sensitization session for staff from diverse backgrounds on Key Population-Friendly HIV and related health services. The focus was on addressing the stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV/AIDS in healthcare settings and strategies to mitigate these challenges. Participants were also introduced to SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression, Sexual Characteristics) to promote inclusive and equitable healthcare for all genders. Additionally, they were educated on essential elements for key population-friendly services, including accessibility, acceptability, availability, equity, effectiveness, and comprehensive quality, ensuring a stigma-free environment.
