The three-day specialized dermatology (skin) camp, which began on March 5, concluded today. Around 250 patients availed the services during the camp.
The camp was conducted by Dr. Ambika Pradhan (dermatologist), and resident dermatologist Dr. Gado Tshering. and was being assisted by two nurses from JDWNRH. This initiative was the first of its kind in ERRH and the eastern region.
The team has plans to organize similar camps in the future, provided there is budgetary support. Many patients have traveled from remote areas to attend the camp and expressed their gratitude and happiness, as they no longer had to travel to Thimphu to access the same services.
Prior to the camp, two days CME on common dermatological conditions and management was conducted for the heath workers of the east at Zhongar hotel. ERRH does not have dermatologist at present.
